Here are some of the stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A 30-year-old Rockland County man was stabbed to death over the weekend after a brawl broke out at a restaurant in Blauvelt. The incident happened at the now-closed Oiso Korean Restaurant on Route 303 just before 11 p.m. Saturday. Orangetown police received reports of shots fired at the location, but no one was hit. At least one other person was also stabbed. Officials have not confirmed if any arrests have been made, and ask anyone with information to contact Orangetown police.
Police say Alexis Rose, of the Bronx, was taken into custody for a deadly shooting in Yonkers. Authorities say 41-year-old Shaun Hutchinson, of Pennsylvania, was killed in the shooting on Warburton Avenue. They say he was shot in the head. Officers say it appears Rose and Hutchinson had an argument at the home of a woman they both had children with.
A large tree fell onto a Croton-on-Hudson home on Sunday causing extensive damage. Croton firefighters say they were called to Bungalow Road Sunday morning after the tree brought down a utility pole and power lines with it. The house was damaged, but fortunately no one was home. Fire officials say six nearby homes also suffered minor damage from the incident.
