Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Shots fired in Hulme Park in Poughkeepsie over the weekend. Officers rushed to the area around 3 a.m. Saturday and crime scene investigators collected multiple bullet shells. Police say no one was reported injured.
The search is on for a Nyack man who has been missing since Wednesday. Richard Kendal, 75, walked away from his home that morning in the area of Marion Street and North Broadway in Nyack. Kendall has Alzheimer's. He's described as about 5' 7", with blue eyes, and speaks with a British accent. He was last seen wearing tan pants, a grey wool jacket, dark shoes, and a blue baseball-style hat. Anyone with information on his location is urged to call Orangetown police at (845) 359-3700.
Veterans Day is just a few days away and the Congers Veterans Memorial Association held a wreath-laying ceremony over the weekend. Every year, the association lays wreaths on site at 65 Lake Road in Congers. The Congers VMA provides support for Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces by connecting veterans with several government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
