Charges against a former Clarkstown teacher accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old will be dismissed if she stays out of trouble for six months. Samantha Silberman was accused of abusing the teen between late 2019 and early 2020.The Rockland County DA's office says the case was resolved during a court hearing last month.The judge ordered Silberman to stay away from the victim for six months.If she gets into trouble criminal charges may be restored by the prosecution. An inmate at Ulster County Jail is facing felony charges for allegedly stabbing another inmate and threatening to stab a correction officer, according to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. They say Niaki Dial from Esopus had a shank hidden under his mattress. Officials say Dial then threw a cup of urine at officers after threatening to stab them. He's charged with promoting prison contraband and aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate.
