Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley today.
Friends and family will gather to pay respects to a Clarkstown North High School student killed in an alleged drunk driving crash. A wake will held today for 16-year-old Vladyslav Hvalyk at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City at 4 p.m. His funeral is set for tomorrow in Spring Valley.
State police say bail reform has led to tragedy. Troopers say an ex-con arrested on drug charges in Sullivan County was released. Then, he allegedly killed a Sheriff's Deputy in South Carolina. Police members say changes are needed to bail reform and that this could have been avoided.
