OVERVIEW:
As a cold front approaches the region today, expect heat and humidity to surge! Scattered showers and storms are also possible this afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has the Hudson Valley under a Level 1 Marginal Risk for severe storms.
The main severe weather threat will be the strong gusty winds that could come with storms today.
Showers may linger overnight, but otherwise it will be a muggy night. The front is expected to actually cross the Hudson Valley on Thursday. So, temperatures Thursday could likely climb into the 90s. It is highly dependent on the amount of cloud cover and the timing of showers and storms throughout the day.
Behind the front, weather should be dry! Friday should be a sunny, dry day with low humidity. Afternoon high temperatures will likely be in the upper 80s.
As for now, most of the weekend is shaping up to be dry.
