High-speed chase through Deerpark leads to driver arrest

According to the Deerpark Police Department, an officer spotted Guerrero speeding on Route 97 last week. Guerrero allegedly accelerated to over 100 mph and began weaving past other drivers.

A New Jersey man, 21-year-old James Guerrero, faces charges after allegedly driving recklessly through Orange County.
According to the Deerpark Police Department, an officer spotted Guerrero speeding on Route 97 last week. Guerrero allegedly accelerated to over 100 mph and began weaving past other drivers.
The car sped through Port Jervis before being stopped in Deerpark. Guerrero was charged with reckless driving, unlawful fleeing a police officer, and reckless endangerment.
Police say Guerrero was part of a group driving recklessly throughout Deerpark, Port Jervis, and Sullivan County. He was released on an appearance ticket but may face additional charges along with other drivers in his group.
