Hillcrest hopes new parking rule will stop teens' delinquent behavior
A Rockland town is hoping that a new parking rule will help prevent teens from participating in sexual and delinquent behavior at a popular neighborhood hangout.
Crowds of cars often congregate at a dead end along Unity Lane in Hillcrest, which is a known meeting place for teens and bad behavior. A joint effort between residents and local officials should put an end to it all.
The new parking rule aims to end the loud music, sexual behavior, and drinking that has plagued the community of Hillcrest for years. Local resident Conway Reivers greets his 7-year-old daughter Kelsey with confidence that his neighborhood will soon be safer than it used to be.
