Joe Mazza, a White Plains home inspector and star of the HGTV show Home Inspector Joe, joined News 12 live today to warn that frigid weather can be especially hard on heating systems and plumbing.

He is urging homeowners to check their furnace or boiler, insulate exposed pipes, seal drafts to reduce heat loss, and disconnect outdoor hoses to prevent freeze damage during this blast of arctic air.
