LaGrange and Patterson firefighters responded to a call regarding a horse named Ronan, who had fallen into a shallow muddy ditch and was unable to stand.

The response team executed a successful rescue plan Saturday, safely extricating the over 2,000-pound animal from the mire.

This marks the fifth horse rescue undertaken by the Patterson Fire Department in 2023.
