Hundreds of New York City's finest lined the streets of South Nyack today to pay tribute to a fellow officer killed while riding his motorcycle to work from Rockland County.
Funeral services for NYPD Officer Andrew Sipp were held at the South Nyack Grace Episcopal Church.
Sipp, 45, passed away Tuesday after spending a month in the hospital following an Easter Sunday motorcycle crash on the Bronx River Parkway.
Sipp was within one mile of his Bronx precinct when he fell off of his bike after swerving to avoid a car accident in front of him. He was wearing a helmet at the time, but suffered severe head injuries and a punctured lung.
Mourners say Sipp was a true family man, and someone you could always count on.
