A Warwick man, his pregnant wife and their young child had a heart-stopping moment Tuesday after a chunk of ice flew off a passing truck and smashed their windshield in Blooming Grove.
Tricia and Randy Foust were driving home on Route 17 after a day of shopping when the accident occurred. They said the ice chunk broke free from the truck and landed on their windshield. The couple and their 9-month-old child, who was in the back seat, were not injured.
The truck driver said he didn?t even know the ice was on top of the vehicle. The driver was issued a violation. Police said they have responded to many similar accidents in the past two days.
