Organizers of an illegal yeshiva in Suffern were served an injunction Monday, which notified them to be in court Wednesday.
Ramapo Town Attorney Michael Klein says the yeshiva organizers never applied for permits or planning approvals before turning a Suffern home into a makeshift school. The building is not equipped with sprinklers or fire alarms that connect to the county's control center, town officials say.
Neighbors say the community has been disrupted by bus traffic dropping off about 65 children between the ages of 3 and 6.
No one inside the Suffern home would comment.
