Nearly 1,000 freshman students moved into their Iona University dorms on Saturday.
University officials said the Class of 2028 is one of their largest and most selective in Iona history.
Their families parked along North Avenue in North Rochelle to unload their cars.
Some student athletes helped bring the freshman's belongings to their dorm.
Freshman Andrew Cruz shared how he was feeling about the move-in day.
"I'm very nervous, you know, this is something new for me, so I'm very nervous," he said. "But, I'm also very excited... to see what Iona has to offer here."
Move-in for the upperclassmen is scheduled for Monday.
