Plans to temporarily close one of two county parks with fenced-in space for dogs to run has many dog owners upset.
Kakiat Park will close beginning around July 15, and will remain closed through August. Park officials say the park will undergo $300,000 worth of renovations, including new foot bridges and a new comfort station.
"I don't know where I'm going to go," says Scott Weiner, of Suffern. "I mean, around the house I guess, now. [My dog] is not going to get as much exercise anymore."
