Yonkers City Council President Mike Khader has officially conceded in his primary.
Lekisha Collins-Bellamy won the nod in the Democratic primary race with 57 percent of the vote.
The race took a turn in the last few weeks after the Yonkers City Council called for an independent investigation into allegations of workplace discrimination and possible ethics violations by Khader.
Khader took to Facebook with a statement saying in part, "We could have never anticipated the degree of harassment, lies, and slander that was thrown our way throughout this process - not just towards myself but towards my family, staff, and community."
Khader did go on to congratulate Collins-Bellamy on her victory and wish her luck in the upcoming general election.
