Kristina Behr

Kristina Behr is the morning co-anchor at News 12 New Jersey.
Born and raised in East Brunswick, she's been a part of the News 12 family for several years.  She considers herself extremely lucky to have spent the majority of her on-air career in the tri-state area. Behr brings a wealth of journalistic and compassionate storytelling to her second stint at News 12 New Jersey, where she previously served as a weekend anchor.
Growing up with parents who worked in "the biz," Behr started working in television when she was just 15 years old, running scripts and grabbing coffee for producers at the soap opera "All My Children." After earning a BS from Boston University in Broadcast Journalism, she then went on to work behind the scenes in both news and entertainment production for MTV, Vh1, ABC, CBS, PIX11, and White Cherry Productions before making her way on-camera.
Behr got her first big break on-air as a fill-in traffic reporter in the "Air 11" chopper for PIX11 News in New York City. She spent nearly a decade at PIX11  wearing many different hats as a general assignment reporter, digital reporter, traffic reporter, and red carpet reporter.  From covering breaking news stories like the Chelsea bombing to the biggest celebrity events in the world including the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala, New Year's Eve in Times Square, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Behr has a wide array of stories under her belt.
Prior to News 12, Behr also co-hosted the nationally syndicated talk and lifestyle show "The Better Show".
When she's not working, Behr enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and her dog Gary!
