Late beloved high school coach honored in Yonkers Hall of Fame

The Yonkers Sports Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have impacted sports in the city. Those who are selected are permanently enshrined by the Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Sano and the Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation inducted coach James Joyce Sr. into the Yonkers Sports Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
Coach Joyce was an administrator at Lincoln High School and coached track and field, varsity baseball, girls' softball and basketball for decades.
The Yonkers Sports Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have impacted sports in the city. Those who are selected are permanently enshrined by the Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation. 
Coach Joyce died last June, and his son accepted the award on his behalf.
