Lawyers for the man charged with child endangerment in the disappearance of a 4-year-old Newburgh boy asked to see evidence against their client during a Monday court appearance.
Prosecutors argued against that request, and now it's up to the judge whether the information will be released to Cory Byrd's lawyers.
Marc Bookal went missing back in December of 2009. Byrd, the boyfriend of Bookal's mother, was with Bookal in his Newburgh apartment when he said the boy went missing.
Byrd is due back in court Feb. 2.
