The Liberty Central School District is taking some steps to address the issue of cockroaches being signed in some classrooms.

School officials say it is not a widespread issue and that it is not an infestation, according to a pest control specialist.   

The school says it's taken measures to prevent cockroaches from settling in the building, including monthly treatments, periodic eco-friendly treatments when school is not in session and making sure food and water is not left out.
