A local comedian is weighing in on the incident where a man tackled comedian Dave Chappelle on stage.
It happened Tuesday night at the Hollywood Bowl during the 'Netflix is a Joke' festival.
Security guards then detained 23-year-old Isaiah Lee.
Officers say he was carrying a fake gun with a knife blade inside.
Chappelle was not seriously hurt, and was even able to make light of the situation not long after.
Chris Rock was also at the event.
"Was that Will Smith?" he asked immediately after the melee.
The attack to a celebrity on a main stage has left local comedians and performers on edge.
"Every day comics are in clubs where we are 2 feet, sometimes, from patrons with no security. The idea that somebody could get up or feels they have the right to get up on stage and cause physical harm to you is very real," said comedian Tara Cannistraci.
The suspect in Chappelle's attack was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
