Mahopac students choose 'Wolf Pac' as new mascot name pending board approval
The name change was mandated to comply with the "Dignity for All Students Act" which bans any Native American mascots and related imagery.

The results were revealed during a Mahopac School Board meeting Thursday evening.
Students had a choice between the Mavericks, the Mustangs and the "Wolf Pac."
Students voted for "Wolf Pac."
The name change was mandated to comply with the "Dignity for All Students Act" which bans any Native American mascots and related imagery.
The Board of Education still has to approve the name at next month's meeting.
