Main Street in Chester overflows with mourners for teacher killed in Iraq

Family, friends, students and colleagues turned out at the Lippincott Funeral Home in Chester Wednesday to mourn the passing of Army National Guard First Lieutenant Louis Allen who died last week in Iraq.

Family, friends, students and colleagues turned out at the Lippincott Funeral Home in Chester Wednesday to mourn the passing of Army National Guard First Lieutenant Louis Allen who died last week in Iraq.
Allen, a teacher at Baker High School in Tuxedo, was killed in Iraq last Tuesday along with Army National Guard Captain Philip Esposito in what was initially reported as a mortar attack on his barracks. Now those reports are under a criminal investigation by the Army.
Allen had been in Iraq less then 10 days before he was killed. He is survived by his wife and four boys.
