Some Westchester high school students are heading to Albany.

The goal is to change voting laws in New York.

Nearly 50 Mamaroneck High School seniors are taking part in Advocacy Day.

The students are pushing for legislation that would allow 17-year-olds, who would turn 18 by Election Day, to vote in earlier primary elections.

They say primaries often decide races, but man young voters are left out.
