yesterdayA Mamaroneck Village man is facing charges of sexual assault and unlawful imprisonment.
Police say they received a call from a woman at an apartment building on West Boston Post Road over the weekend.
She said she had been sexually assaulted by Francisco Mercado and he was holding her against her will.
Police tell News 12 that the 22-year-old woman said she had met Mercado for the first time the night before. Officers arrested Mercado and charged him with rape and unlawful imprisonment.
