A Rockland County man appeared in court after a warrant was issued for his arrest in a 2019 crash.
Jason Castro had failed to appear in court last month. He is facing second-degree manslaughter and reckless driving charges stemming from a crash that killed two teens.
Authorties say Castro, 47, and Aisha Radoncic were racing on Route 304 in October 2019 when Castro's Jetta hit Radoncic's Porsche. Radoncic's car veered off the road and landed near the train tracks below. The crash killed her passengers, 17-year-old Altin Nezaj and 15-year-old Saniha Cekic.
Castro was arrested later that same day for allegedly assaulting an Orangetown police officer.
Castro is expected in court on July 13.
