Man assaulted, robbed after vehicle crash in Midwood

The unknown man refused to exchange his vehicle information with the victim after the crash, and then punched the victim in the face multiple times.

The NYPD says that a man was assaulted and robbed following a traffic collision on Chestnut Avenue in Midwood.
The 35-year-old man was driving a three-wheeled vehicle around 1 p.m. on Sept. 20 when he collided with another man who was riding a scooter at the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and East 17th Street. The unknown man refused to exchange his vehicle information with the victim after the crash, and then punched the victim in the face multiple times. The man then removed the victim's license plate and fled the scene.
The victim was treated on the scene for a laceration on his face.
Police say the unknown man has long brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue jacket and black shirt.
