Police say some burglaries have been reported recently in Orangetown, including one attempt at the home of Assemblyman John McGowan.
The Rockland County official says a group of masked men invaded his Pearl River home on Friday.
They allegedly had crowbars and forced their way in while McGowan and his pregnant wife were asleep. He says their dogs scared them off.
Local police say they are investigating the break-in and a similar incident that occurred in the area around the same time.
