A man is facing charges in connection to a burglary in Dutchess County.

They say it happened on Carroll Street in the City of Poughkeepsie around 8 a.m. Sunday.   

A caller reported 43-year-old Dennis Cornick left a home when someone living there confronted him.

He's charged with felony burglary and the misdemeanor of petit larceny.

Cornick has made his first court appearance and was taken to Dutchess County Jail.
