Man dead following Concourse Village assault, hit-and-run

A man was killed after being struck by two vehicles, one of them an NYPD vehicle, while he was lying unconscious in the roadway early Saturday morning in Concourse Village, according to the NYPD.
At approximately 3:47 a.m., an unidentified adult male became involved in a physical altercation with another man outside 1059 College Ave.
The man was left unresponsive and unconscious in the roadway near the corner of East 165th Street and College Avenue.
About 10 minutes later, a white BMW X5 traveling eastbound on East 165th Street struck the victim and fled the scene.
Later, an NYPD vehicle traveling eastbound on East 165th Street at approximately 12 mph struck the man.
Officers immediately stopped, remained at the scene, and rendered first aid.
The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are searching for the driver of the white BMW X5.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
