Man fatally shot in Allerton identified; 3 men on the run

Police identified a man who was fatally shot in Allerton Friday.

Officers discovered 26-year-old Amir Ahmad, of the Bronx, with a gunshot wound to his chest around 12:20 a.m.

EMS took Ahmad to NYC Heath+ Hospitals/Jacobi, where he died.

Authorities say three gunmen ran from the scene, dressed in all black.

Neighbors says they were surprised to learn about the deadly event.

"This is the first time I'm hearing this, I didn't hear any gunshots," one neighbor said.
