A man found in distress and clinging onto a dock in the Byram River was rescued by Greenwich and Port Chester police early Sunday morning.

While the man claimed there was someone else in the water with him, no additional person was found.

The rescued man is recovering at a trauma center, and further details about the incident are pending.
