A 36-year-old man was slashed in the head during an early morning attack in Soundview, police say.
According to the NYPD, an argument near Castle Hill and Gleason avenues turned violent just before 5:45 a.m. Friday.
Paramedics rushed the man to Jacobi Hospital where police say he is expected to recover.
The NYPD says the mans attacker was last seen wearing all black clothing.
He took off running after the slashing, traveling westbound on Castle Hill Avenue.
No arrests have been made as of Friday evening.
