Masked teens allegedly intended to help Newburgh student when they removed her from school bus

Investigators found a female South Middle School student called people she knew for help Monday afternoon when she felt harassed by classmates on the bus, according to District Attorney Dave Hoovler.

News 12 is learning more about a frightening and bizarre incident onboard a middle school bus in Newburgh this week.
Investigators found a female South Middle School student called people she knew for help Monday afternoon when she felt harassed by classmates on the bus, according to District Attorney Dave Hoovler.
Hoovler says the underage individuals arrived wearing masks to remove her from the bus.
District officials say they plan to pursue criminal charges.
The incident is under investigation by City of Newburgh police. City officials have not responded to News 12’s repeated requests for information about this case since Tuesday.
No word on any arrests.
