Police have arrested a suspected member of the Latin Kings gang, 20-year-old Raymond Semidey, in connection with a Middletown shooting. The 20-year-old victim claims he was boxing in a backyard off North Avenue when he was hit in the thigh by a bullet. Police say when they arrived at the scene, everyone was tight-lipped about the shooting. After conducting several interviews, police say they found the weapon wrapped in a black and yellow handkerchief, tucked inside a box with a Latin Kings medallion. That box, police say, was wrapped in a red handkerchief, which police say is a symbol of the Bloods gang. Police say the evidence suggests the shooting might have been a collaboration between the Latin Kings and the Bloods. Police confirm more than 100 Latin Kings members live in Middletown. They say Semidey's arrest brings them one step closer to keeping the innocent safe.
