A Middletown grandfather and retired firefighter was arrested for having explicit Internet sex chats with a 14-year-old girl. The Computer Crimes Unit of the Bergen County Prosecutor?s office nabbed 76-year-old Paul Tannura in an investigation. Investigators say Tannura was in chat rooms and instant messaging a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. Prosecutors say Tannura started the dialogue and gave pornography to the undercover person he thought was the teenage girl.
Tannura is a retired member of the Elmsford Fire Department. He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and attempted sexual assault.
