Police say they?ve arrested the mastermind of a Middletown High School funny money ring.

Police were notified by school officials who said their bank told them about counterfeit cash. On Thursday, when some teens allegedly tried to pass off the fake bills in the high school cafeteria, school officials were already on to them.

Middletown police, with the help of state police, say they discovered the students were getting the fake bills from a 15-year-old student who also attends the high school. Police say when they went to the teen?s house, they found a bag full of fake bills, a computer, printer and scanner in his bedroom. The Middletown school superintendent says he hasn't decided what penalties the students should face. Police say two teens are facing felony charges in connection to the counterfeit money.
