A Monroe resident got the All-Star treatment at New York City's Jacob Javits Center as she became the 250,000th person to receive a COVID-19 vaccine shot there.
Kaseyan Serrano rolled up her sleeves yesterday for her second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
VACCINE INFORMATION: Check to see if you are eligible
She's now encouraging others from the Hudson Valley to do the same. "I think it means more to show everyone else that this is a pretty good vaccine, you should be able to trust it. You should be able to get the vaccine because it’s not just helping yourself but helping everyone else, so you’re being proactive in that sense.”
Kaseyan says she's also been reminding her friends and family who have been vaccinated of the importance of remaining diligent, continuing to social distance, and put safety first.
