More than 100,000 people in the U.S. have died of COVID-19 in just the first few weeks of this year.
The new data is from Johns Hopkins University, which says 100,317 people have died because of coronavirus in 2021.
The U.S. has had 446,272 deaths since the pandemic began.
That's more deaths than any other country in the world.
