It has felt like summer has taken an "early departure" from the Hudson Valley over the past few days and weeks. That is because there has been a lack of summer-like humidity and hot temperatures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Warmth and humidity move in for Thursday and hang around into the weekend.
  • A cold front will help to bring much needed showers to the region Thursday evening, and lasting into the overnight hours.
  • The rain will wrap up before the Friday morning rush is underway. Afterwards, there will be a warm, muggy but more sun-filled day ahead.
  • Saturday has another system heading into the region, with showers expected through the second half of the day. Isolates storms will be possible as well.
  • Sunday, and into next week, kicks off another dry, mild Autumn-like stretch of weather.
