Mount Pleasant PD: 2 arrested for possessing counterfeit cash

Mount Pleasant police say a man entered the Walgreens at 35 Kensico Road last Tuesday and used $20 bills that the cashier deemed suspicious.

Two men were arrested last week for allegedly possessing counterfeit cash in Thornwood.
Mount Pleasant police say a man entered the Walgreens at 35 Kensico Road last Tuesday and used $20 bills that the cashier deemed suspicious.
The man fled the store but was arrested in a car in the Town Center Shopping Center. An alleged accomplice was found in a pizzeria in the shopping center.
Marquise Pearson, 24, of Poughkeepsie and 32-year-old Oluwaseyi Adeniyi, of Brooklyn, were charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Police said that Pearson had $900 in counterfeit $20 bills in his sneaker.
