Mount Vernon police officials say they are searching for a suspect who staged an armed robbery in the city.
According to investigators, it happened at the Shell gas station at 422 Gramatan Avenue around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Detectives say the suspect walked into the Atlantis Fresh Market at the station and pulled out what appeared to be a handgun then pointed it at the person who was working at the time. The robber then took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Staff at the gas station tell News 12 the worker was not injured, but they say he was very shaken by the incident.
