A Bronx math teacher was arrested Tuesday for allegedly assaulting one of his students. Police say Osmund Duporte, a teacher at M.S. 302 in Longwood, assaulted a 14-year-old student after an argument over a hat. The student was taken to the hospital with a minor head injury. There is no word yet on when Duporte will be arraigned.
