The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has announced it plans to increase parking fees at nine Metro-North stations in the Hudson Valley.
The MTA says the 50-cent parking fee increase will help cover operating and maintenance costs. In total, 34 stations are being affected by the hike.
In Rockland County, commuters on the Pascack Valley line will see an increase from $2.25 to $2.75. The new prices are going into effect Dec. 1.
Annual parking permits will also be increased from $202 to $226, although holiday and weekend parking will remain free.
