23h agoA Madison County man was killed Saturday in a plane crash during the Saturday Air Show at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Dutchess County.
A post on the Museum's Facebook page says that “Brian Coughlin, of Cazenovia, longtime Aerodrome volunteer and Board Member” was killed when a WWI replica plane “went down off the south end of the runway.”
The aircraft was a replica of a WWI Fokker D-VIII. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
The air show on Sunday has been canceled. The museum will also be closed.
