There are still no answers Friday as to what led to the death of a 19-year-old University of Buffalo student.
Jonah Dreskin, whose father is a rabbi at Woodlands Community Temple in Greenburgh, was found barely conscious Wednesday night on the grounds at the university. Police say the freshman died moments later. They believe he may have fallen from a nearby residence or could have been hit by a car.
However, sources tell News 12 Westchester drugs may have been involved in the freshman's death.
Jonathon Gordon, a cantor at Woodlands Community Temple, says the teen's parents are quietly dealing with their loss. Gordon described Dreskin as "brilliant" and "spirited."
"Jonah was a bright, spirited, independent and creative soul," Gordon says.
Grief counselors are on hand at the Woodlands Community Temple.
