Nanuet shoppers hit by rash of car break-ins

Police in Rockland County are urging shoppers to be aware of smash-and-grab thieves in parking lots. Cops say almost a dozen cars were hit earlier this week at various locations on Route 59 in Nanuet.

Police in Rockland County are urging shoppers to be aware of smash-and-grab thieves in parking lots.
Cops say almost a dozen cars were hit earlier this week at various locations on Route 59 in Nanuet.
They say the thieves wait for people to go into stores and restaurants and then smash car windows and swipe valuables such as wallets, purses and pricey electronics.
Clarkstown police are asking people to be alert and if they see anything suspicious to give them a call at 1-877-639-6233.
