Westchester County's first new elementary school in a decade was unveiled in Pelham.
The new and improved Hutchinson Elementary School is a 68,000-square-foot building that is fully air conditioned with ramps and elevators for students with disabilities. It also has spacious hallways for easy walks through the building.
The school was built with a double regulation gymnasium that will benefit the school and town recreation.
The former elementary school building next door will be demolished in the coming months to be replaced by fields and a playground.
