New Castle has received a $5 million grant from the state's Department of Transportation for The ChapLine Trail Way that will connect Chappaqua Crossing to the downtown area.
The trail way will be a 1.7-mile, off-road, multi-use path that will provide a no-cost, barrier-free and secure pathway for pedestrians.
Assembly Member Chris Burdick is delighted that the funding moves the project ahead, having worked closely with New Castle since 2021 to make this a reality.
