A New City family is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of its dog that went missing Monday while in the care of an Orangeburg pet groomer. Rosario Dela Rosa, the dog's owner, says her 8-year-old poodle named Copito was being groomed at The Barking Lot when it escaped while being walked. Dela Rosa says the business owner chased after the dog, but it ran into traffic on Highview Avenue. Copito's owners say the pooch won't eat anything unless hand-fed, and the family is desperate for its safe return. "My mom is 78. She doesn't want to eat since yesterday," Dela Rosa says. "That was her baby."Anyone with information on Copito's whereabouts is being asked to call the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-3700.
