A pizza place in New City has launched its own app.
Thomas Doran, with Napoli's Pizza, recently launched "Napoli's Pizza New City" to enable customers to pick up or schedule a delivery through the new software.
"I want to save the community money. That's the whole reason why we did this. I don't make money off this app. I don't gain anything off this app except a more loyal customer with them knowing they're paying what they're paying in the shop and not getting extra fees," says Doran.
The New York State Restaurant Association says delivery fees depend on services provided by a third-party app with fees varying from 15 to 40% of an order, depending on the contract.
At Napoli's, customers will pay menu prices, taxes and a credit card fee.
"Our app is a no-brainer. If you order from us, you can save money or maybe order the kids some extra mozzarella sticks," says Doran.
The app is available in the Apple and Google Play stores.
